SW Canine Rehab is awesome

Steve knows his dogs. I have known steve for about 3 years. We met when he was training my moms Yorky. Steve trained my Husky and I was so impressed that I Started learning to be a dog trainer. I love it. I have been training for about a year and a half and really enjoy it. I have trained over 200 dogs and we have had success with all of them. This is great stuff. I took my husky to pet smart before I met Steve. That's not dog training. So far I have been certified on leash basic obedience and am working on my off leash certificate. I have trained two service dogs for autism. I know how too teach force retrieve. Problem solving is our specialty. SW Canine Rehab is awesome

Thank you SW K9 Rehab, Inc.

Today, my 10 year old daughter had a dress rehearsal and we brought Gunner. While waiting for her outside of the studio Matt, my 12 year old son with autism, wandered out of my sight. I turned around and could not see him but Gunner walked calmly with her head bowed and lead me around a large planter to Matt who was on the other side. So, she tracked him. Thank you SW K9 Rehab, Inc. for Gunner.

Steve is an amazing trainer! I have know him for over 15 years and watched him train thousands of dogs. I have watched him train service dogs, guard dogs, obedience dogs, and law enforcement dogs.

Train your dog with this man!!!

Steve is excellent trainer. Any kind of problem, any kind of dog. He is your man. I met Steve over a year ago when he trained my wife's golden retriever, Aiden as a service dog. Amazing job. Aiden works off leash, carries groceries, picks up anything you drop on the floor, opens and closes doors and pulls my wife in a wheelchair. This dog has been such an asset to her and our family. Since then I started to learn to train dog with Steve. We have trained device dogs for autistic people, scent detection, protection and of course tons of basic and advanced obedience. Many time I seen Steve work payments with people who are need of these service dogs, showing compassion for people in need. I can truly say he has a great compassion for all the dogs that come to him. He really loves antes for all of them. To this day I never seen any dog mistreated, abused or harmed. I feel privileged to train under him. He has vast knowledge in any situation we come across. Fifty years of dog training. What more could you ask for. Train your dog with this man!!!

I know Steve will help out.

I've used Steve Welch for 3 dogs, starting back to 1991. He's an excellent dog trainer. And trains for everything from cancer detection, obedience, drug, seeing eye, and K, anxiety and more. He comes from a long line of master trainers, and this goes back to single digit age. My kids even went to his dog training camp while they were young, through their teens. Dog training can be a little or a long time. It depends on the dog. Steve's not going to hand back an untrained dog. In fact, he will work with the parents to learn the training methodology, and can tell when they are not following up with the dog. Dogs learn their behavior. This is not "Petsmart" 6 week training. It's solid training that if you follow - through , you'll be a very pleased pet owner. If you coddle your dog, then you are not really looking for a trained dog. They like to please, but don't encourage bad behavior. Steve trains with love and emotional rewards, not treats and voodoo. His methods work. BTW… I'd use him again. I looked up his number today so I have him help with a new puggle I rescued who has some unpleasant behaviors. I know Steve will help out.

Madison immediately fell in love with Yasha.

Not only can a dog be a man's best friend ,but it can be a child's as well. And a dog that would be a friend is just what five-year Madison, diagnosed with Baton's disease, wished for. Madison's disease causes her to make increased trips out of the house to the doctor's office, so she wanted a dog that could keep her company on her outings. But because she specifically wanted a dog that would be able to accompany her everywhere , no ordinary dog would do. Guild Dogs of America generously donated a dog, valued at 13,000, that was being retired from the training program. Madison's new best friend was found – a gorgeous 1 year old female Golden Retriever named Yasha. Steve Welch & Associates donated their services to train Yasha as a certified companion dog for a young child. Madison immediately fell in love with Yasha (and the feeling is mutual), and they have quickly become lifelong friends. They enjoy going to the park and even the doctor's office together.

Steve and his team are absolutely fabulous

Steve and his team are absolutely fabulous, so very friendly and down to earth!!! We left our 4 year Old English Bulldog , Boris , with him for a 14 – 21 day boot camp to help with aggression and obedience. While Boris was learning at boot camp, Steve had my husband and I learning as well though one of his beginner training DVD. After practicing with the DVD and several calls with Steve (he was always available for questions whenever they came up), our whole perspective on pet ownership and responsibility shifted for the betterment of our entire family! Every family member has a role and a job, Boris included!!! Boris was ready to come home at 14 days because he responded so well to the training. When we arrived to get him, my husband and I did a nice hour long training session with Steve and two of his wonderful trainers. We feel very confident with the skills and tools SW K9 has given us to continue Boris’ success! It’s also extremely nice that they call and check up on him/us even after the job is finished. Our relationship with Steve and his trainers will definitely continue beyond this one job!

I highly recommend Steve Welch.

I run the Saint Bernard rescue for Southern California and I have been taking my resues to Steve Welch (SW K9 Rehab, Inc.) for over 13 years for training and boarding. He has trained many of our dogs that had severe behavioral issues. After completing their training they were all successfully adopted into great homes. I currently have 3 Saint with Steve and I have spent several hours watching him work all the dogs in his care with love and compassion. His place is a green facility plus it's the quietest and cleanest facility I have ever seen and I have been to several kennels over the years of doing rescue. So if you have a dog that needs training or boarding I highly recommend Steve Welch.

Thank you so much for all that you have done

I am sitting here with my 2 VERY well behaved white German shepherds. They are at my feet in a down stay lying next to each other BEHAVING. I am happy to report that both dog ( yes even Ricky) ate this morning. It is wonderful to have them back and my house feels normal again. Thank you so much for all that you have done. We will continue to enforce and work them as we know how important the next few weeks are.

Thank you for the wonderful job you and your associates did.

Christina and I would like to thank you for the wonderful job you and your associates did with our 1 year old German Shepherd Dog "Jack". When we brought him to you , he had a strong, independent spirit and we had difficulty getting him to know what we expected of him. We choose to board him with you rather than commit to several weekly lessons. We were pleased with our decision. You delivered a well- behaved, disciplined dog, who's spirt had not been broken yet with a heart for obedience. Your "Fun, Fair, and Firm" system was easy to learn. Jack is now a joy to have in our home, as protector and companion. If anyone should wish for names and /or numbers for a reference , please do not hesitate to give them our name and number.

Thanks again for a wonderful experience

I wanted to let you know how valuable the beginners obedience training was for my Airedale, Toby, and me. Tobey is 15 months old and before I brought her to you, she was out of control. I’m not sure I was ready to admit that when we started but I soon realized it was true. After just one week the difference in her was remarkable. After six weeks, she was like a new dog. She can now be controlled and no longer has the bad habits I thought were just "being a puppy". I have learned what you already know, that it is easier to train Tobey than it is to train me! Thanks again for a wonderful experience and if you ever need a reference, please don’t hesitate to call me.

He is very reliable

I would highly recommend Steve as a dog trainer. He also is quite knowledgeable about dogs in general (behavioral problems, health, etc.) He is very reliable and has a natural gift with animals.

We were both amazed

Earl and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased we are with Shawdow’s training to date. We were both amazed at how fast we got the results we were hoping for. We are slower at learning than he is. We also appreciate your nutrition advice. Shadow has put on weight and his coat is looking better than since we first got him.
